A new standard for autumn/winter base layers that prevents perspiration chill and provides warmth retention
Teton Bros.' proprietary "MOB WOOL" fabric, made of 89% merino wool and 11% polypropylene (PP) knitted together, is a base layer for the fall and winter seasons.
The framed PP material in contact with the skin quickly draws moisture away from the skin, while the softly knitted merino wool knit provides excellent warmth and a quick cool-down effect. The material is cut to fit the body to maximize its performance. The hood fits securely around the head and can be used as a balaclava, and this season we have added ponytail holes at the back of the hood.
The MOB series was produced in "Ichinomiya City, Aichi Prefecture," which has world-class wool processing and development technology, in an environment where production management from yarn spinning to processing, dyeing, and commercialization are all done in one area, and development cooperation is available for each process. Wool series is made of 11% polypropylene (highly effective for cooling perspiration) and 89% ultrafine 18.5 micron merino wool knitted at the same time.
The polypropylene in contact with the skin quickly draws moisture away from the skin and diffuses it into the wool, while the many layers of air in the merino wool provide excellent warmth retention. The high breathability also allows moisture to escape from the skin quickly, keeping the skin dry at all times.
Compared to the same Teton Bros. product, the Made in Japan base layer "AXIO LITE," it has higher heat retention properties due to the ability to store air in the gaps between the fibers. It is excellent as a base layer to be worn for a long time in the cold environment of fall & spring.
Even if you sweat during activities such as ice climbing, hiking, mountaineering, skiing, snowboarding, or any other activity where you move around in extremely cold conditions, you will be impressed by its warmth and comfort without moisture retention on the skin.
Hood Shape
The hood can be used as a balaclava and has an excellent fit.
Ponytail hole
Additional hole at the back of the hood.
Flat seaming
Patterned to reduce seams and improve stretchability. All seams are flat seamed for better skin contact.
Hem Length
Longer length to prevent slipping up.
Outer Material
The outer material is knitted with a large knit fabric, which retains heat by accumulating a lot of dead air, and uncomfortable hot air can be cooled down at once by ventilation.
Back material
The back surface is made of polypropylene (PP), a hydrophobic material that does not contain any moisture, knitted into a frame shape. PP in contact with the skin surface does not get wet, preventing perspiration chill.
